Improvements are not shameful

I would pretend to not be bothered by my the size of my body. I pretended for for almost over 20 years that I was ok. I tried to play the sexy voluptuous role, but deep in my heart I suffered. I wanted to be smaller like my sisters. I wanted to shop at designer boutiques not just Lane Bryants and Ashley Stewarts. It took time for me to make the decision to change things, and it did not come until I was honest about what I wanted form my life. I still have things I want to improve.

My body could be better.
My focus is more on doing things that will sustain quality of life. If I can run and jump, I can play with my daughter the way she likes to play, or make love without running out of breath, I can look at myself in the mirror without getting depressed. I can make each moment meaningful. This is what being my best means to me, this is what I want to achieve. What about you?
