Smash Negative Talk!


 I consider words to hold power. They make us cry, laugh, think... We are constantly saying things to ourselves internally. That 'head chatter' I call it. It is the talk that happens when someone gives you a compliment. They might remark on how great your hair looks today and you thank them but in your head you are saying ( My hair! My hair looks like shit, it needs to be washed and just put a few sloppy curls in it) So you've taken a something good and nurturing and smashed it to bits. Practice being aware of the negative chatter in your head throughout your day today and see how much of it comes in as opposed to the good stuff. We all have that voice inside that tells us we can't do something but its how long u allow this voice to talk to u, if u start to believe in that voice then it becomes a problem. I do a visual exercise anytime I begin to get doubtful or negative about myself. I literally visualize suffocating the phrase, like im choking it to death! Yours doesn't have to be as dramatic but in my reasoning if u kill something it won't rise again. What is your head chatter and how do you deal with negative self talk, please share.
