Someone elses tragedy becomes yours when you listen!
And the biggest one, listening to GOSSIP! This one is big because rarely is a juicy story about someone who just made 100 on her test, or gave a someone in need a ride to work. Its almost always about something tragic, or some heightened level of suffering another person is experiencing. But the thing is this, your body does not know that it is them you are talking about and not you!
You become so involved in the story, emotionally charged that your own mind starts to create symptoms of what ever it is you are talking about. Its easy to get swept into gossip because its feels exciting.
But it also fuels anxiety, causes stress and weaken your immune functions.
Disconnect you emotions from the information
You place your self in that scenario when you take on emotional packed experiences(just like a good suspense movie). Now I'm not saying that you can't help people if they come to you will problems, but unless you learn to disconnect your emotions from it:it will effect you!
