High sugar diets, starve the body of nutrients and also drys out the organs. Nerve damage also a result of too much sugar; the reason for this is the body's natural defense for acidic food is mucus.
Mucus creates a buffer between your vital organs and the acid, but when you continue eating this way, the mucus accumulates, in some areas of the body, it hardens and puts pressure on the nerves and tissues. The end result is glaucoma, numbness in hands and feet, cellulite etc..
The Goal to Slowing Age is..
Limiting or totally eliminating processed sugar from you diet. I am talking about concentrated sugars like:
- Brown Sugar
- White Sugar
- Date Sugar
- Maple Syrup(made with corn syrup,salt,white sugar)
Isn't avoiding all sugar extreme?
Yes, it is is extreme. But if you are hoping to make a change in your health and wellness, you may have to go to the extreme just to balance your body again. Now, I'm not saying that you could never eat anything sweet again, of course there are natural alternatives like fruit and fresh fruit juices.
Your taste buds need some recalibration
Our senses have been dulled by the over use of concentrated drugs(sugar). We don't know how to appreciate naturally sweet things anymore because we are addicted to the 'high' stimulation of processed sugars. The only way to get out from under the thumb of sugar addiction is to stop either in stages or cold turkey.
So What Can I do to Replace Sugar?
- Use fresh squeezed or natural unsweetened juices whenever possible.
- Buy raw sugar substitutes like Agave, or Coconut Sap.
- If you can, add the sweetener after food is cooked(adding spice after food has cooled off can help you get a sense of what the food taste like:think left overs the day after Thanks Giving!
