I'm not bathing anymore part 2

Ok, so it been a a little over a week since I started my experiment with not using soap when I bathed myself. I have to say that so far I haven't notice anything strangely offensive as far as my body in concerned. Actually don't smell as sweaty as I did when I used soap. I think the actually changes your body chemistry and causes oders from the perfumes and dyes already in the soap.

I know I could have easily just used a detergent-free, all natural soap but I really wanted to see if my body needed to have the soap at all.  oh and I stopped using soap to wash my face even though I wear makeup, I don't see a need to use it; I just massage my face with oil and wipe it off with a was cloth, The oil lifts the makeup off my face very well. I use coconut oil, but mineral oil will work just as well.

And I have to report that so far it seems like using soap when bathing is totally unnecessary.
Some things I notice:
  • skin is less dry
  • vagina as a natural sweetness not funky at all!
  • my under arm sweat is less as well

I started this experiment November 6th, on the first 2 days or so, I had to catch myself;I was so used to grabbing soap that I had to program myself not to reach for it, but now I don't think about it at all. I am more relaxed too, I do not know if that is directly related to not using soap, but I do feel better having omitted  less chemicals into my body.

A side note, I do use essential oils for fragrance and they also smell different on my body too, I can only assume its the lack of soap here as well.

Once a week or so,I will use ground nutmeg or cinnamon for exfoliating my skin.

Please join me in this trial and leave comments or feedback about you experience with this!

  2. Rosi, I just bath with plain water, nothing else. But you can also use spices like nutmeg or Cinnamon and make a paste with it and rub on your body. The cinnamon is a natural antibacterial but it can burn the skin so be care with percentages.
